COACHING, UMPIRING & TECHNICAL OFFICERS

As an association we work towards improving the reputation and skills/knowhow of the game. Our input compared to what the game is about is progressive and alot is yet to be done. However, the MCHA prides itself in having/producing umpires and coaches of international reputation. This, before the devolution of umpiring faculty to form the MCUA (in formative stages).

However, we have produced Umpires like Tony Fernandes, Peter Obalo, Titus Ngolia and Technical Officers/Judges namely Nancy Isegere, Feisal Yasin and Oliver Mascarenhas who have been able to represent us on the international stages on various assignments. The Umpiring section is currently led by Mr. Moses Otieno (Co-opted Exec Council Member), who himself has been an umpire for over Fifteen years

Coaching is a constantly developing facet of any sport, with elements like fitness, discipline, tactics and technical aspects of the game coming into play. We have had the priviledge to send players who we deem fit and as recommended by respective affiliate teams to train with the national team and ultimately represent it in international assignments. This department is led by Mr. Bill Olang (Co-opted Exec Council Member)
