With Season 4 about to begin, this is the Men’s and Women’s league encompassing teams from the Mombasa County Hockey Association and upto including schools from Kwale and Kilifi County.
An initiative of the players by the players, the coast league was borne during the Covid-19 Era when players had to look for places to train and enjoy their hockey. On the ending of lockdown, the league was initially dubbed African Ocean, following the sponsorship by an NGO, as it ran over the Covid-19 lockdown period.
In 2022, the Coast League was now organized by MCHA and the current league holders are Daikyo Heroes for Men and MSC Ladies respectively
Currently the 2025 Coast League is in progress with more envisioned to come, and about to start in June at the earliest.
